What’s up at flats
Tijuana Flats Campaign
Role: Creative Director and Designer
With the arrival of a new investment group, a new CEO, and the filing of Chapter 11 bankruptcy, Tijuana Flats needed a comeback; a way to let people know that TFlats is still around and working on getting back to what it once was.
By the guidance of new leadership, some of the older and more popular stores underwent renovation, and had their grand re-opening the same day as the launch of an entirely new food item for Flats: street tacos.
The intention is to skew Tijuana Flats towards “inspired by authentic mexican,” and this new direction opened the door to a new look. After researching competitors, market and industry trends, a new art direction was decided on.
The idea: to create photos that somebody wants to live in. Let’s set the scene for how we want people to interact with our food, how we see it being a part of the customer’s life, with the Flats personality still intact.
A true visual representation of what Tijuana Flats is.
